Today we drew to a close one of the most ambitious projects we have attempted--two large farm barns on a 600 plus acre ranch in Napa, CA--built to withstand earthquakes, heatwaves, drought and torrential rains...not to mention accommodating horses and hay in one and vehicles on both 36's free span levels in the other. It has taken us about six months--longer than we expected--but the outcome is more than we hoped possible.

We have much to be thankful for--and many people to thank for all that we are thankful for. Our clients--Steve and Lori--have been engaged in the process and and thoroughly supportive throughout--even providing on site RV housing for the duration--and appreciatively expressing gratitude every time they visit. JMA--the GC--paved the way literally and metaphorically providing the infrastructure we needed to go vertical and stay on track--with Jesse as the point man to make it all happen and keep happening. Our engineer--Len Willis--always supported our efforts at excellence and enabled us to do what we do and pass multiple approvals.

Most of all--the crew of Jon, Joey, Corey, Steven and David--worked in 100+ temps this summer and below freezing already this fall and winter--while living in tents on site away from their loved ones every week....sometimes discouraged over the long haul but never giving up producing these masterpieces worthy of their craft. Today we hugged goodbye--and tears flowed--knowing these beautiful buildings reflect the love in our hearts for each other, for what we do, and whom/Whom we serve. I can say without reservation that these are the most industrially elegant edifices we have ever erected--firmly anchored to hundreds of yards of concrete and tons of steel...much like the relationships among the crew that kept us going....to deep to pull up and walk away even when it was hard to just get up and make ourselves work. I awoke one morning in the RV and it was 36 degrees.....I can only imagine what it was in their tents.....:-\

It is also beautiful here--every day--and to leave our artistic, passionate imprint on this exquisite piece of property with views across the Oakland Bay and the Napa Vineyards is a privilege I have not yet fathomed... We have been entrusted with a generous couple's dream to build part of their homestead with men I am blessed to call my cherished companions/colleagues along this wonderful journey that simply keeps moving forward. Words fail me--so I will stop here.

George,

Thank you so much for putting your heart, expertise, professionalism and thoughtfulness into our amazing and stunning barn and machine shed. Your crew were a group of first rate, great, talented guys who you should, and I am sure are, very, very proud of. Everyone who I have shown the two buildings to have been quite impressed by them, both for their eternal and internal beauty, but also by the quality of design and workmanship that went into them.

And we want to thank you personally for your friendship, warmth, honesty, character and fairness through the entire course of this project. it is a privilege to have someone with your attributes in "our corner".

We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks. You are always welcome to stop by our new new home in the future and to show others who might be interested in having you design and build a GeoBarns structure for them.

With a great deal of gratitude,

Steve
