It has been a long week....beginning with loading my faithful Volvo S60R with almost 300K miles on it with yet another awkward load--this one a 4'x6' double mulled Andersen SilverLine window for the Baltimore OH art Studio nearing interior completion. We made it out there without incident and I must say I was looking forward to possibly hitting the 300,00 milestone on this trip looping down into Virginia before returning home to VT. We made it these without incident where I was warmly greeted and warmly treated with the generous hospitality of our clients....http://www.nancycrow.com/HTML/home.html ....a world famous quilt artist pushing the traditional medium into beautiful, free, artistic compositions.
The interior--wonderfully crafted by Lucas Wright--is a masterpiece of vertical uplift, seamless joinery and endless wood sheathing from our own Bethel Mills. Nancy Crow had her own pronounced ideas about the look she desired so all the 1x8 v-groove ran vertically upward toward the cupola instead of our traditional horizontal application--which achieved a much more cathedral impact on the upper level--stunning with the sun flaring in from the cupola (as attached). I cannot thank Lucas and his crew enough for their care and craft completing this with such skill and perseverance after working with the California crew on the shell for one of the more arduous builds we have ever attempted--with a tall, big, open building in a lot of inclement weather.... :-\ --that nonetheless turned out more beautifully than I could have hoped for.
