Equipment and Recreation Barn

March 9, 2017

This bank barn contains tractors and equipment below, and provides a warm family space above.

Our clients hoped to add space to their home on the north shore of Massachusetts.  They engaged Geobarns to build a barn to contain the boat, lawn tractor and other miscellaneous shop and equipment.  Upon seeing the building framed, they decided to convert the planned second-floor shop to a family recreation space.  Not an uncommon outcome for our clients who make their garage or shop space too attractive. Connected by an unusual stair, the rugged space below is entirely concealed from the very civilized rec room above, each accessed by its own grade entry.

Dear George

Let’s start with a very big thanks to Lucas, Ryan and Morgan, they are one hell of a crew and should be commended for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. They started this project on a rainy day with lots of enthusiasm and finished off in the freezing cold at the end of December with the same great attitude. I have to say that I deal with all sorts of contractors and I have never met a crew that had such intelligence and a love for what they do, it’s such a rarity these days to have skilled workers that actually care about what they do.

As for the barn results, its outstanding, we could not be happier. Having never been part of something like this before I would like to say thank you for all your guidance and especially your patience, I know that my questions at times were probably a little cumbersome and annoying but you and your crew dealt with me with the utmost respect and courtesy and most of all you answered them honesty and to the point. To be honest I’m a bit disappointed that this ordeal is over, to me it has a great learning experience and allot of fun to watch and at times participate in. With all that being said thanks again, I’m looking forward over the next several months to finishing a few extra items but again all good things have to come to an end.

To anyone out there who is looking for a contractor that’s honest, skilled, detailed, to the point, as well as loving and caring George and crew are it, don’t bother going elsewhere it will be a waste of your time.

Very Truly Yours
