Farm Church Barn

An intimate worship home in rural Virginia

Our client hoped to establish a new building for his growing church. Searching for a suitable location, he offered his own farm.  On Fidelis Farm, at the foot of the Skyline Drive in Virginia, this lakeside location provided exactly the backdrop for an engaged community of worshipers to build their new home.  Large barn doors on an apparently simple farm structure slide open to reveal a spectacularly vaulted space for gathering and worship, with one two-story bay semi-enclosed for back of house functions and to provide offices for two parish priests.
